Recently, at the highly anticipated International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Central Asia Regional Contest, the “Light of Manas” team, composed of students majoring in Computer Science from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Manas University of Central Asia (MUCA), performed outstandingly. After intense competition, they ultimately won a silver medal. This is the best result our university’s students have achieved in this competition to date.
This ICPC Central Asia Regional Contest attracted nearly a hundred teams from top universities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries. The “Light of Manas” team, consisting of three undergraduate students, under the guidance of their instructor Dr. Asan Ibrahimov, successfully solved several complex problems凭借 their solid programming skills, excellent algorithm design capabilities, and cohesive teamwork, showcasing the exceptional strength of MUCA students in the field of computer science.
“This award would not have been possible without the excellent learning environment provided by the university and the meticulous guidance of our teachers,” said team captain Alina after the competition. “Through the contest, we not only improved our professional skills but also learned how to cooperate efficiently under pressure. We will continue to work hard and strive for even better results in future competitions.”
